  The food was excellent. We loved the rice and beans and also the gumbo. The spice level was just right. We tried bacon wrapped sausage and dates, it was very tasty and a good combination. Loved this place and it was clean too, staff friendly. Can't wait to come back!

  First time eating here. Passing through. Ordered Mild Boudin, and the Shrimp & Oyster combo. Everything was Excellent!!! Best deep fried shrimp & oysters I've ever had. The batter had plenty of flavor and golden crispy. Meat was juicy ...not dry. Very fresh tasting. I wish we had this restaurant back home in the North. It'll be hard to find shrimp and oysters as good as theirs. Good service and friendly. Great place to get great food!

  Cashier was very friendly, very helpful, and very patient. Wish I had her name to throw out, but I failed to ask. She was working the right till from the customer's angle at lunch today (7/31/16). Lots to choose from for lunch, plus a decent sized freezer case with a nice selection of their meats. Food is very good, up there in price though.
  
  I was going to mark it down a star for not having a sampler box, or "captain's" like platter, but the welcoming staff made up for that.
